Taking on the biggest problems that plague Hisar, Dr. Subhash Chandra strongly criticised the appalling state of hygiene and poor attention that has been given to cleanliness and health in the area the encompasses 450 towns and villages.
Recalling his trips to Hisar as a child and also the time when he campaigned for Dr Kamal Gupta, Subhashji thanked people for turning up in such huge numbers. He said that he has visited Hisar each month since 2014 and has surveyed the areas near by. During his visit he has come to notice that the water quality is extremely poor. “The number of doctors in Hisar has gone up because there is no proper facility of drinking water or sewage systems.” He said that there is a general state of disarray when it comes to hygiene and waste disposal.
He also added that every single person he has spoken do during his visit said that in the past 25-30 years the concept of ‘administration’ has disappeared. He promised the people that he will ensure that those in the administration who do not do their work will be asked to leave. “I ask the government officials to either serve the people of Hisar or leave immediately” he said to a thunderous applause from the crowds. “When you have all the means to make things right, why should the people bring things to your notice. Is it not your duty to strive for the people and their needs?”
Referring to Lord Krishna’s call for battle from Kurukshetra leading to the victory of good over evil, Subhahji said that he has not come to deliver the message of Lord Krishna but has come to awaken the ‘Krishna’ in each person of Hisar. He urged the people to know their rights but at the same time also remember your duties.
Subhashji was elected to the upper house in the parliament in the Rajya Sabha election on June 11, 2016 from the state of Haryana.
