In Hisar, for his monthly visit, Shri Subhash Chandra attended the programme organized by the resident welfare association at Multani Chowk on Sunday to interact with people, listen to their issues and problems and discuss solutions for them.
He said, “It is my belief that the administration continues to do its work, with whatever tools and resources they equipped with. It depends a lot on the official, you can easily see the change when the work is being done diligently. However, I think that we should ourselves work for the betterment of the society, its security and welfare then the government has no option but to join in the work too.” Giving an example of lack of cleanliness issue that residents of sector 14 faced, he said that these problems happen and we should come together and solve them.
Speaking specifically about the issue of the lack of law and order faced by the residents of Multani Chowk he promised to talk to the administrative authorities and police, and give a solution to this by the fifth of February. “When something unruly happens, people should not sit quiet but come together and show their strength to the miscreants,” he urged people to step up and help each other in these situations as there is strength in unity.
Citing the example of how people lend a hand during the construction and mending of a road close-by he said, “We must imbibe this thought that the lane is ours, the area is ours, the city is ours and we must work for the betterment of it.”
He also addressed subjects like better sewage lines and clean drinking water that were put forth by the residents. He promised a solution within one month. Subhashji also said that toilets for women in the park will be provided for immediately. He also said that the has spoken to the authorities about the potholes in the roads and they have assured him that roads will be mended. Another issue of domestic animals being let loose on the roads was addressed by Subhashji where he said that this has been brought to the notice of the authorities.
Praising the Haryana government’s efforts, he stated that he is proud that maximum welfare work has been done in Hisar in the past four years and will continue with the same zest.
He also said that various initiatives like an industrial policy will be undertaken to increase the economic activity in the area so that people who have gone outside for work will return and also this will attract people from other places to come to Hisar for business and work.
