At the launch of the new weekly newspaper, ZEE Marathi Disha in Mumbai, Shri Sushilkumar Shinde speaks about the inspirational personality of Shri Subhash Chandra and expresses confidence about the newspaper’s ability to showcase quality and unbiased editorial content from across Maharashtra.
“Subhash Chandra is synonymous with innovation,” he says. Recounting his decades-old friendship with Subhash Chandra, Shinde says confidence was a hallmark of his life. He speaks about his journey from Haryana to Mumbai and becoming a successful person here.
“Subhahji inspires the youth by interacting with them every week. He discusses different subjects and gives confidence to the next generation that irrespective of the background, differences and socio-economic factors nothing should bring one down.”
Adding that Subhashji’s life is his self-confidence, Sushilkumar Shindeji says, “He faced many a calamity, but marched ahead with conviction and instilled confidence in generations with his endevours. He has been instrumental in nurturing generations with his contribution.”
He also speaks about how ZEE has been instrumental in bringing forward talent from across the state be it in singing or dancing or traditional dance of lavani. He also recalls going to the launch of The Z Factor, Subhashji’s autobiography in Delhi. “In that book you can see how someone who started off in the rice business has constantly and consistently evolved. He is of the mindset at just because something happened today it should not stop you from doing something tomorrow.”
Expressing confidence that ‘ZEE Marathi Disha’ will not be partial to any particular thought or party, Sushilkumar Shinde ji says “I know that Subhash Chandraji him since 1980s. I know that he maintains his identity and never bows down when it is a question of principles.”
Extending his good wishes for the publication, he says that the initiative can become a daily once it has attained success as a weekly.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Union minister of state for social justice Ramdas Athavale, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray and ‘Zee Marathi Disha’ editor-in-chief Vijay Kuvalekar also graced the dais.
