Speaking at the launch of ZEE Marathi Disha, the new weekly newspaper Honourable Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised Shri Subhash Chandra for constantly innovating and doing something new.
Congratulating the ZEE Group for starting a weekly newspaper that caters to the needs of all sections of society, he says, “One may be surprised that a group like ZEE, which is well-entrenched in electronic media, is turning towards print. But then, Subhashji is known for his innovative spirit.”
Speaking about Subhash Chandra ji’s personality he says, “I have read his autobiography and along with successes he has also included all his failures in full honesty. It is an inspirational story about how one person can keep on trying different ventures and at the same time each one giving the country a new direction of sorts. That is why is not surprising that this new venture ZEE Marathi Disha is being started under his leadership. I am sure that like Sukh Warta on Zee 24 Taas, Disha, too, will provide much needed positivity to the society at large”
“Political news is mainly on negative happenings but there are many in the society who are silently working for betterment. They need to be provided with adequate space in the media. Media has an impact on society and positive news can change the very course of social thinking,” he says.
Devendra Fadnavis ji adds that the ZEE group has been proactive in starting positive initiatives like rakhi for soldiers, and helping Jalyukta Shivar work in drought prone areas, and that is the reason Disha also would utilise positive energy of the media for Marathi minds.
Pointing out that he launched ‘ZEE Marathi Disha’ by pressing a remote control, he says “When they gave me the remote control, it was just for launching and that’s all. Maharashtra had only one man possessing remote control and that was late Balasaheb Thackeray. Even though I launched Disha today, the remote control will always be in the hands of Subhash Chandraji.”
