Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanathji while addressing the gathering at the Agroha festival, the all-India conclave of the Vaishya community, as the chief guest on Thursday, praised the efforts of Subhashji and his family in bringing the Vaishya community together on such a large scale and also expressed confidence in their ability to grow and prosper as a community.
He urged the community to invest in Uttar Pradesh as well and assured them safety and rule of law.
Speaking about Subhash Chandra he said that Subhashji is a household name. He narrated an incident to illustrate the popularity of Subhashji in Uttar Pradesh. ” This one time when I was in Gorakhpur, some schoolchildren came to me and said that they wanted me to organise a programme of Dr Chandra in east Uttar Pradesh.” He asked them who Dr. Subhash Chandra was and they replied that he does a programme on Zee TV. “This shows how things funnel down in society,” added Adityanathji.
Talking about the role of media in society he said, that the media is doing a good job, but it needs to ask how it can serve the interests of the nation, the society and its religion.
“Zee TV and Zee News, through their programmes, are leaving a constructive impression on the youth. And why not? When the carrier of such constructive and creative approach is the head of the organisation himself,” Yogi said.
The gathering saw the participation of over 40 MLAs, MP and ministers — including Union minister Shri Vijay Goel —from the Vaishya community belonging to six political parties.
