Shri Subhash Chandra visited Haryana’s Hisar and inspected a number of projects that have been implemented in the area using his allocation of funds from the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).

Subhash ji started his visit on August 3 with a darshan of Goddess Mahalakshmi at the famed Agroha Dham. He was then briefed about the various works being taken up at the campus of the temple.

He then inaugurated a multi-purpose hall built using MPLADS funds he sanctioned and took part in a programme organised by the Saini Sabha Trust. He later visited the Bharat Mata Temple nearby.

Subhash ji also inaugurated two solar-power drinking water plants that have been installed in the Adampur, which is one of the villages he adopted as a Rajya Sabha MP. The two solar-powered projects are aimed at addressing the serious drinking water shortage in the area. Subhash ji noted that the ground water in the area had a high level of contamination and its consumption was leading to health problems.

Subhash ji also visited the Civil Hospital in Adampur and took stock of the facilities and functioning there. He underlined the turnaround at the hospital, recalling that just two-and-half years ago, there had been only one doctor who managed to treat 50 to 60 people a day. Now, the hospital has 10 doctors – including three specialists – who treat about 400 patients a day.

Subhash ji also urged farmers of 24 villages in the region to join the Adampur Farmers’ Producer Company, which had been formed as part of efforts to improve conditions in six villages he had adopted in the region. Subhash ji distributed share certificates to 215 farmers who had signed on as members of the Adampur Farmers Producer Company.

Subhash ji also inaugurated a number of projects in the area that had been carried out using his allocation of MPLADS funds, including road works in Sadalpur, a park and a panchayat house in Kishangarh, and a sub-health centre in Khara Barwala.
