Shri Subhash Chandra attended ‘Global Cruise Conclave’ held on Wednesday, August 30 in Mumbai as the chief guest.

During his address at the conclave, Subhash Ji said, “This is the industry which can create jobs for at least one million people.”
Subhash Ji also announced that Essel Group will venture in to cruising with India’s biggest and grandest cruise liner ‘Jalesh Cruises’. He added that while the group is into entertainment, and so it now also plans to enter cruise entertainment. “It will give a boost to the industry and cruise tourism which also creates direct and indirect employment,” he said.
Assuring Essel Group’s commitment towards cruise tourism, he further added, “I know there are a lot of challenges, but we will be able to make it.”

The members of the India Cruise Lines Association (INCLA) presented the White Paper on Cruise Tourism to Honourable Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari at the event.
The White Paper suggests necessary reforms in policy, tax and various regulatory laws, which are required to ensure a level playing field for cruise business in India compared to cruise operators based abroad and attract investors, cruise liners and other stakeholders to set-up cruise operations in India.
The conclave was organised by India Cruise Lines Association (INCLA) with the aim to develop India into a cruise hub of the future and was attended by members of the tourism and global cruising industry.
